We are not a government office or record custodian. The Bronx Residents Directory is a private reference service. We cannot obtain a file, certify a copy, verify a current address, or alter a public database. Direct each request to the office that created the record. For an emergency, call 911. For stalking or harassment, contact local law enforcement.
Routes to Official Bronx Records
Use the record type, rather than a general directory search, to choose the right Bronx route:
- Address or parcel records: use the The Bronx street directory path through PIP, GOAT, and ACRIS.
- Older households and volumes: use the The Bronx city directory collections and NYPL routes.
- A single documented person: use the The Bronx resident lookup method and verify across custodians.
- County and city offices: see The Bronx resident records offices for the City Register, Finance, and elections routes.
- Records not online: send a focused request under New York's Freedom of Information Law to the agency that holds the record.
